As a relatively new International Traveller. I found the HC farm and family FAR exceeded every expectation! It was so much more than just a “resort”. The horses clearly love Bernardo and their lifestyle here in the Alentejo hills. To be welcomed by the family and to share a meal in this beautiful setting was lovely. Our riding will most definitely be affected in a positive way! Portugal and HC have left an indelible mark on our HEARTS! We hope to return soon.

I recently spent 10 days at Lusitano Horse Finder, with our wonderful hosts Nuno and Teresa. Nuno is a fantastic instructor, very patient but passionate in his classical dressage teaching, both in hand and under saddle. He taught me how to ride more efficiently with my scoliosis.During his lessons he also pointed out how different each horse reacted to different stimuli, and both how to prevent and correct certain reactions. This improved my awareness and feeling of the horse.Nuno was always calm, with a great sense of humor. Their new facility (although initially a bit hard to find) has an indoor arena which was great during the rainy days. Teresa’s organization made everything go smoothly. She also directed us to a local tack store where we found some awesome stuff. I can’t wait to come back next year.
