The Most Important Opportunity For Breeders to Present Their Young Horses

Run by the APSL this festival is the most important Lusitano Fair of the year. It is usually held in June and the last few years has been at Quinta da Marinha in Cascais.

About 25-30 minutes from Lisbon airport.

This fair is about showing classes, it is the first time in the year you will see the Breeders 3 year old colts presented. But all ages are presented including mares,  foals and fillies.

Like the other fairs in Portugal there are many other competitions running to enjoy such as dressage, working equitation, the evening offer parades, performances and surprises.

Other Facilities

There are a few shops and two or three eating choices located on site. It doesn’t offer a huge selection of stalls as some of the other fairs do, but this is an event to be seen.  An important one for the breeders.
