About the Partnership
Developing a great partnership with your horse is a beautiful dance moving together in harmony and lightness. Classical equitation is all about partnership and it doesn’t just refer to us with our horses but to a community of people with a common bond. None of us is an Island. We think more of ourselves as a flowing river gathering friends along the way.
When Diana Bushard, owner of Swallowtail Farm in the USA, came to us it didn’t take long to realise we had a mutual bond, a vision shared – the love of Lusitanos and of equestrian heritage.
We are delighted to combine our passions and have formed a partnership. We are bringing together complimentary projects in furtherance of promoting the Lusitano breed and classical equitation.
About Quebec
Swallowtail Farm has invested in their first stunning breeding stallion, Quebec. This charismatic, elegant stallion will train in dressage to compete to the best level he can achieve. There will be a small amount of covering available each year to those that have mares which would match well with him.
Quebec is a 4 year old Palomino stallion approved for breeding with 72.01 points. He is a majestic stallion with a glorious palomino colour. Standing at 168 cm, Quebec has 3 quality gaits that are expressive, expansive and elastic. Currently, he is in a gentle dressage training program.
He received second place in his first showing class as a ridden 4 year old last year. What particularly stood out was his reaction to a very lively show atmosphere and small presentation arena with many viewers, music and other distractions (including clowns on stilts!) Quebec demonstrated the quiet, confident demeanor of a much older horse, never concerned and completely focused on his rider throughout.
In fact, his character is extraordinary. He is gentle, confident, and friendly with all creatures. He spends his days happily out in a paddock alongside his fellow horses. He loves to ride in the countryside with other horses or alone. He leads and stands in the cross ties without issue. And yet, in the area he demonstrates enthusiasm, power and responsiveness that surprise his riders.
Quebec’s Bloodlines
Quebec is sired by Ideal (SPA), a palomino stallion with an impressive 74.5 points from Coudelaria Gardel Fernandes Silvia. On the dam’s side, he is out of Jade (SPA), also from Gardel Fernandes, and by the stunning stallion Desafio of Coudelaria Oliveira Santos.

All foals are piroplasmosis negative and will be available starting at three years old. Photos and additional details will be shared soon.
