Balaruc-Les-Bains Casino: a new start for the establishment run by Circus

In Balaruc-les-Bains, the casino managed and operated by the Circus Group - its new owner since the end of 2021 -, has made important recruitments in order to face several irrefutable challenges. Indeed, the objective of the casino is to regain a clientele, the latter having been heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. To do this, the parent company, the Belgian company Gaming1, has several ideas in mind.

Casino of Balaruc-les-Bains: a relaunch of the activity in half-tone

Circus Casino France, the French subsidiary of the Belgian group Gaming1, has owned the casino in Balaruc-les-Bains, in the Hérault region, since the end of last year. For both entities, the priority is to give a new impulse to the casino after two terribly complicated years on the background of the coronavirus. The group, which has been operating in France since 2016, is eager to regain a rate of attendance worthy of the name, but many customers are missing... To increase the interest of players, the casino management wants to introduce the game Teen Patti with real money.

Indeed, the casino in Balaruc-les-Bains relaunched its activity at the beginning of the year, but the return of players is overdue (-20% attendance rate in the first quarter of 2022 compared to 2019, a year during which life was pretty much normal). In the seven other establishments owned by Circus Casino France, the occupancy rate is not as down, despite obvious variations.

Recall that in the 2018-2019 fiscal year, the Gross Gaming Product (GGP) of the Balaruc-les-Bains casino amounted to €9,605,218. The Herault casino was then ranked 88th out of the two hundred and two casinos operating in France. "At the beginning of 2022, we can say that we are almost back to normal. We hope that the season will go well, that is to say without any bad surprises in the autumn," says David Mahieu, the establishment's director, in an almost ironic tone.

Attractive game offer and VIP services

To capture the attention of newcomers, the Balaruc-les-Bains casino has pulled out all the stops. The gaming offer has been revised upwards and the establishment now offers 125 slot machines but also 24 electronic roulette stations, 1 English roulette table, 2 blackjack tables and 1 Rampo table, a game exclusive to Circus Casino France and Gaming1.

The Balaruc-les-Bains casino is also betting on the attractiveness of its restaurant to seduce the future new clientele:

"Our restaurant is open seven days a week and we serve quality food, only made of local and organic food, - warns the chef Teen Patti with real money. - The menu changes every month, with formulas ranging from €25 to €40".
